Née
en 1940, Pat Ting Hung rejoint la Shaw Brothers en 1957 et
fait ses débuts à l’écran dans You
are my Soul de Tu Guanqi. Elle participe à une
trentaine de films, alternant principalement les comédies
(The Fair sex, The Husband’s Secret) et
les drames (East Flows the River, Dream of the
Red Chamber) ainsi que quelques discrètes incursions
dans des films d’arts martiaux (Little Dragon Girl Teases
White Snake Spirit). Habituée des plateaux de
Ho
Meng Hua, elle tourne également dans Princess
Iron Fan, l’une des nombreuses adaptations issues du
célèbre conte dont a été tiré
le Chinese Odyssey de Stephen
Chow et Jeff
Lau. Pat Ting Hung quitte la Shaw Brothers en 1969 et prend
sa retraite. Elle vit aujourd’hui aux États-Unis.
